Food Sensitivities Testing

The Mediator Release Test (MRT) is considered the highest standard of food sensitivity tests currently available.

It’s a simple, patented blood test that identifies our body’s reactions to 140 foods and 30 food chemicals by measuring the number of mediators released and the subsequent changes in white blood cells.

Food Sensitivities Testing

Common symptoms of food sensitivity include Bloating, Abdominal pain, Gas, IBS, Crohn’s, Diarrhea, Skin rash, Itching, Fatigue, Brain fog and difficulty concentrating, Joint pain, Headaches or migraines, Eczema.

Here are some key points about the MRT:

Functional Measurement: MRT quantifies the inflammatory response to foods and food chemicals. It accounts for both clinical and subclinical inflammation, making it a comprehensive tool.

How It Works: The test measures the release of cytokines, histamine, leukotrienes, and other mediators from white cells in response to specific antigens. These mediators play a crucial role in food sensitivity reactions.

While almost all other tests on the market are measuring one antibody, IgG. IgG is an antibody that is involved with food sensitivity reactions, however it’s not the only one. Other antibodies that can cause food sensitivities include IgA and IgM, and even T cells can play a role.

Also, these tests are not looking at mediator release. They are simply measuring the amount of IgG that congregates when your blood sample is introduced to a food.

Unfortunately, simply the presence of IgG does not mean there is a reaction occurring.

In fact, research has shown that IgG tests have a lot of false positive results because of this fact. IgG tests are unfortunately not as accurate or thorough.

Remember, MRT is testing mediator release, so essentially, they are testing for reactions from ALL the antibodies in the blood sample, not just IgG. You are getting a much more complete and accurate assessment of your immune system with MRT.

Clinical Value: Unlike other mechanisms (such as food-specific IgG), MRT focuses on the actual mediator release, which directly correlates with inflammation and symptoms. It provides actionable information for targeted therapy.

LEAP Eating Plan: MRT not only identifies inflammation-provoking foods but also pinpoints your BEST foods—the ones that form the basis of their personalized LEAP Eating Plan. The MRT Diet Plan, aka the LEAP protocol, is the plan you follow based on your unique results. No two plans are ever the same.

LEAP stands for Lifestyle, Eating, and Performance. Originally created as a way to help athletes figure out their sensitivities and perform at their best, it’s now widely used for anyone who needs help optimizing their health. LEAP is what we call the protocol that gets you feeling well again.

It takes about 6 weeks for the immune system to “calm down” but in most cases, after 4 weeks, the patient’s immune system is stable enough to begin challenging with untested foods and normalizing the diet. In the end, you end up with a normal diet once again but will have to avoid their identified triggers for a few months (and then rechallenge).

The first step is getting your test kit and getting the blood drawn. Kits can be obtained from here and will be sent to you.

Step two we will help find the best place to get a blood draw done.
Step three once that is done, you are set! Sit back and within about a week or so you will have your results in hand. Then LEAP plan begins along with your healing.

Hormone Therapy for Men

Testosterone levels generally peak during adolescence and early adulthood. As you age, your testosterone level gradually declines — typically about 1% a year after age 30 or 40. For older men, it's important to determine if a low testosterone level is due to normal aging or if it is due to a disease (hypogonadism)

Thyroid Testing

Thyroid Testing

Unlike conventional medicine, we conduct an extensive thyroid panel, assessing TSH, Free T4, Free T3, reverse T3, TPO antibodies, and antiTG antibodies, to gain an understanding of your thyroid health. We also explore potential underlying issues that might impact your thyroid hormone utilization, such as stress, inflammation, and digestive disturbances.

Female Cycle Mapping

Female Cycle Mapping

For some women, testing reproductive hormones (progesterone, estrogen, etc.) on a single day is sufficient. In other scenarios, the clinical picture cannot be properly captured without “mapping” out the hormonal pattern throughout their menstrual cycle. The expected pattern of hormones shows relatively low estrogen levels early in the cycle, a surge around ovulation and modest levels in the latter third of the cycle (the luteal phase).

Peptides

Peptides

Peptides are short chains of amino acids that our body naturally produces that optimize metabolic function. They act as signaling and messenger molecules within the body, instructing other cells and molecules on what functions to perform. There are over 7,000 known peptides in our bodies, and all these different peptides have a wide range of functions, including immune system health, repair, weight loss, improved cognitive function, libido, promoting healthy muscle growth and development, and many more
